Well, this week has felt a little rushed for me... I guess since I was sick all of last week... I'm about a week behind on my reviews now since I didn't get to read for an entire week. I know a week doesn't seem like much but when you read as many books as I do in 1 week, it makes a huge difference. I HATE feeling pressured when I'm reading... That's the only downfall to blogging and accepting reviews. I like to be punctual... so when I'm not or I'm close to the deadline, I tend to stress. >_< Hate That! Authors are the best though! They completely understand when it takes a little longer but I hold myself accountable to the deadlines that I set. I think I'm more irritated with myself than they are. Ha. :)
Anyone else feel like that some times? How do you cope?
I think I may start limiting the review requests that I accept to 2 a month, review tours 2 a month, and then otherwise, it's me and my books of choice or books from NetGalley...
We'll see... I'm still pondering, LoL. Any advice is helpful :)

Eeek I was so excited! When I was sick I received a fabulous email from Shawntelle Madison saying I won this giveaway on her blog!! It was definitely a great pick me up when H & I were so sick! Thank you Shawntelle & Alexandra!!!!
So that's what I received this week! What did you guys get?!?! I love this meme so much because I get introduced to more books this way than any other! You guys always have so many new books that I've not heard of or I'm able to see a trend! I can always tell when a book ends up being a must-have because several of you end up getting it! <3
Alrighty - I'm off to go randomly select & verify a winner for my birthday blast giveaway! :)
Wounded was a wonderful book. I had the good fortune to read it for a tour & it was awesome. Come visit me as well.

I know you've probably heard this a million times, but Hopeless is incredible. I absolutely adored it. Definitely recommend getting to that one soon if you haven't already. And after reading so many people's review on Wait for You and lusting over it for a few dozen blogs, I finally bought it. I'm glad you like it.

P.S. I'm a new GFC follower. Feel free to follow back if you want to. :)
DeleteLOL. I read Wait for You in one day, too. I liked it, but not as much as the Lux series. Kind of in love with Cam, but I also still love Daemon!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, enjoy your goodies. Happy reading :)
I love your button for STS and IMM :) I really should create one myself.

Have a great weekend!
Great haul this week. I know what you mean about pressure, I do it myself all the time, can't help myself when I see so many fantastic books around. I have stopped accepting review requests for the moment, but have signed up for some tours. I am going to cut back on them all too, doing guest posts or interviews instead. I usually tell the author if I'm delayed. I have Hopeless on my TBR list, but haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, have heard it is fabulous though. Congrats on your win, always a good way to get cheered up. Hope you are both better now. Thanks for sharing and happy reading.
